The Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge
Riding for a fantastic cause
Raising money for our chosen charity Ryedale Special Families is a really important part of The Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge.
Each year, our riders raise thousands of pounds for this fantastic charity, which provides essential care and vital support to over 400 children with disabilities and their families across the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire.
We urge everyone taking part to do everything they can to raise as much money for a really great cause. The minimum sponsorship target is £60 per person – although the vast majority of riders raise much, much more.
Please do everything you can to raise money, it really is appreciated, and those who raise at least £350 receive a commemorative T-shirt.
A sponsor form is available for download HERE. Please make sure you complete the Gift Aid box as 25% reclaimed from the Government makes so much difference to the amount raised!
Sponsorship monies should be handed in at registration before the event.
Just Giving and raising sponsorship
One of the easiest ways to raise money through sponsorship is through Just Giving – the world’s leading fundraising platform. It’s quick and easy to set up a page online, and makes it much simpler for your friends, family and colleagues to donate money to your cause.
It will also save you the time, effort and hassle involved in raising awareness and chasing sponsorship money, as you can share information across your social media channels, with money collected automatically online.
Raising sponsorship through Just Giving also has real benefits for the event organisers – the charity gets an 25% extra from Gift Aid, and it helps to cut down our admin.
If you do decide to use our sponsorship form, please ask people to tick the Gift Aid Box – it allows the charity to claim back an addition 25% on donations.
